CYNTHIE FISHER

Cynthie Fisher of Hamilton, Montana, is a self-taught wildlife artist, working mostly in acrylics. She has been painting full-time for almost thirty years, concentrating mainly on depicting unique animal behaviors and interactions, learned from a lifetime of studying and observing wildlife. Her mediums of choice include acrylic, oil, graphite, bronze, and even fused glass.

She has a degree in zoology, a vital field of study for her choice of artistic interpretations. She also enjoys avian taxidermy, and learns a great deal about anatomy from her subjects.

CYNTHIE FISHERAN EXTRAORDINARY WILDLIFE ARTIST!
Her favorite activity is big game hunting; she has hunted all over North America, been to Russia and Central Asia, and traveled to Africa fifteen times, taking many fine trophy animals. The reference she gathers on her hunting and bird watching excursions is invaluable in her artwork, and is reflected in her choice of subject matter, concentrating on the infinite variety of species, both locally and around the world.

She paints both birds and mammals, concentrating on depicting each animal in it's native habitat, usually in low afternoon light, and often in motion. Her specialty is rare and seldom-depicted big game species from Asia and Africa.
